DaVinci Stone, Inc. is well known and highly regarded for our drawing-to-installation process. Guided by company founder, Rob Shedrofsky, the process reflects his background in architecture, knowledge of stone and its properties and extensive experience overseeing installations.
As a first step in the process, Rob engages clients in a dialogue about the design project and their vision for the stone and tile work. Acting as a key translator of this vision, Rob takes the time to educate his clients about the materials and accompany them to the stone yard and other source locations.
Once the design objectives are refined and set out on paper, the Davinci Stone, Inc. management team works with our stone drafting experts to turn architectural sketches and renderings into fully detailed shop drawings. The result is a truly holistic perspective. The entire space – along with each piece of stone or tile - is depicted. In this way, the shop drawing becomes a master plan and road map for the project’s tradesmen to follow.
With Rob’s guidance and shop drawing in hand, a skilled fabricator cuts the stone to exact specifications. After fabrication, each piece of material and part of the shop drawing is numbered and labeled to direct the installers as they take the final steps in bringing the design to life.
